Sarah Selecky Writing School

An online creative writing school that approaches writing as an art, and also as a contemplative practice. We believe that skill comes from study, that inspiration comes from love, and that both are necessary.

Permission to enjoy hibernation.

December 8, 2018 by Sarah Selecky 2 Comments

As soon as the people start to line their eyelids with glitter and go to holiday parties, I press pause and gear down.

This month, I’m just going to be unproductive and enjoy everything. I’ve set an autoresponder on my email that tells people not to expect timely replies. I will be reading, watching TV, podcasting + knitting, and wandering aimlessly around the frozen milkweed pods in my backyard.

Care to join me?

I love the idea of a reading retreat. I also am reading The Art of Gathering. It is fascinating and appliable.

Thanks, Tammy! I agree – it’s changed how I think about dinner parties, birthday parties, writing retreats, and every other gathering.
