This invitation-only program supports you to harness the ongoing momentum, accountability, and guidance you need to safeguard your creative practice and revise your existing novel manuscript.

Your goal is to complete another full pass through your novel, finishing with a solid draft in which the major building blocks of character and story arc are in the right place, doing the right things.

The approach is momentum over perfection. You won’t have time to get lost in the weeds making every sentence beautiful (though your sentences probably will become more beautiful), but you will deepen your understanding of what this story is trying to become and get it a lot closer to being there.

You’ll Receive:

  • The Novel Refinery program

    • A written program of weekly guidance to keep you on track and inspired as you refine your novel
    • A weekly meditation to protect your creative spirit and take you deep into your practice.
    • A weekly presence ritual to help regulate your nervous system and calm the anxiety or overwhelm that can get in the way of creativity

  • A total of 18 gatherings

    • 13 x 90-minute group coaching calls: check-in, discussion, guided visualization, coaching for whatever’s coming up in the practice or the process
    • 5 x 90-minute Intention + Reflection calls: check-in, guided visualization, reflection and intention-setting

  • Two 1:1 coaching sessions

    • #1: Foundations with Heidi:

Create your custom revision plan so you have a map for this next stage of the work

    • #2: Clear the Channel with Leah:
Work on the unique challenges that come up for you around mindset, patterns, and emotional blocks, and receive your own personalized guided meditation tailored specifically to you

  • Your next Vision Council

    • Support, witnessing, and the power of our collective brains and hearts applied to the evolving progress of your novel

    • The opportunity to have a chapter of your manuscript read, to ask targeted questions and receive supportive feedback

  • The Creative Revisioning Workbook

    • A block-releasing, intention-setting process to help you dream big about your desires for your novel, get clear on what your next level of challenges might be, and create a fresh vision statement for your writing

  • The Create With Intention Workbook

    • Your workbook for visionary goal-setting and intentional reflection as you deepen and expand your novel (we’ll work through this together at the start of each new vision cycle)

  • Ongoing access to the Novel Alchemy Program

    • To help you clarify your structure, your characters’ drives and needs, and your own evolving vision

Program Breakdown:

We meet for 4 vision cycles, with implementation and rest weeks in between. What’s a vision cycle? It’s the 4-week span of time that we’ll use to break down our work—long enough for real progress, short enough to work in without overwhelm.

Testimonials

A few beautiful words shared in the final week of the 2024 revision coaching container:

Sarah Selecky Writing School

“I have this accumulation of pages, which was the intention, but there’s been this incredible side effect that I didn’t anticipate—this whole realignment with my identity as an artist and creative person. This has brought me back home to the place and person that had been beaten out of me.”

Sarah Selecky Writing School

“I just wanted to say how precious and wonderful it is to have found a writing group such as ours! So safe, so encouraging, so expansive. I have spent many years searching for such a space.”

Sarah Selecky Writing School

“I’m still in shock at how far this has brought me. This has been just a fantastic life experience.”

About Heidi

Heidi Reimer is a novelist, essayist, and the creator of the coaching programs Novel Alchemy and Novel Refinery. Her debut novel, The Mother Act (2024), received a starred review in Publishers Weekly, praise in the New York Times Book Review, and attention from Chatelaine and People. Her second novel, What We Found Instead (2026), is a story of two women who meet as romantic rivals and end up choosing each other. Early readers have called it “the rom-com I didn’t know I needed” and “an inspiring take on the true meaning of partnership,” praising its emotional complexity and the way it reimagines what love and family can look like. Her work has appeared in Chatelaine, The New Quarterly, Literary Mama, Lit Hub, and the anthologies The M Word: Conversations About Motherhood and Body & Soul: Stories for Skeptics and Seekers.

Heidi has tried to write or longed to write or resisted writing or feared writing or, finally, actually written for 41 years.
