When the writer is ready, the workshop appears.

Up to now, every time I've offered a writing workshop, at least half of the registrations come through on the very last day. I'm a plan-ahead type, so this always baffled me. Sometimes I didn't even know if a class was going to run or not, and then WHIZ-BANG! everyone decided on the last day that they want in.

This workshop was different. More than half of The Story Intensive filled in the first two days after I announced it. This blew my mind. It was unexpected, weird and wonderful.

That said, I know from experience that there are still a handful of you out there who like to sign up at the last minute. You're waiting to see if it's meant to be. If the timing feels right. If your spot is still waiting for you.

Well, my friends, now is your moment. Your writing really loves you!

Because there are a handful of spots left in The Story Intensive. I believe that there are probably exactly as many of you out there who want these spots as there are spots available (I believe in things like that).

Today's your very last chance to get in. Register! Do it!

Meanwhile, I want to introduce you to Shannon Alberta, because I think her news will inspire you.

She's a Story Course graduate, and she'll be joining us in The Story Intensive. Exciting: she submitted two stories to the Eden Mills Writers' Festival Fringe competition, and the judges picked both of them! Apparently they couldn't believe that they were written by the same person. And she's going to be reading at this lovely writing festival next weekend. Congratulations, Shannon!

Here is something that she wanted to share with you about the work she did in the course. Her experience, in her own words:

  love,

Sarah Selecky
